Our Alessia blouse as a dress
Alessia is the blouse from the Atelier 27 x Cha’ coud autumn 2025 collaboration. You loved it! In this post, we show you how to lengthen it into a dress, crafted from the beautiful Colette lurex voile Colette lurex voile.
Modifying the peplum
Lengthen the peplum until it measures 55cm (seam allowances included). This measurement is a guideline for a size 36 (based on a 1.65m height).
Cut 2 peplum pieces, 55cm in length, from your Colette lurex voile. Then, cut 2 peplum pieces, 51cm in length, from your lining fabric. The lining is designed to be slightly shorter to create a beautiful, sheer effect with the voile.
The lining
We wanted to keep the sleeves sheer, so they are left unlined. Pieces to cut from the lining: 2 peplum pieces, 2 front pieces, and 1 back piece on the fold.
